Roseate Riverbend
With the rising sun at our backs, an eruption of the brightest pink ignited the interesting cloud layers centered over Mount Moran and the nearer placid waters of the Snake River's famous Oxbow Bend, in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
We all know the splendors that sometimes herald a new day, but what we don't know, to some frustration at times, is which new days will be so graced and where those beauties will be found. Indefatigable optimism is a great asset if you enjoy landscape photography, as in life in general.
Many a cold morning or night must be endured between the rare moments when everything comes together in the most beautiful experiential symphony, not just a pretty scene and resulting image, but an excitement of all the senses that creates an unforgettable feeling. Moments like that, like this, are worth the wait and effort every time.
Thanks for viewing!
P.S. - I posted a very similar long-exposure image a good while back, but where these same skies were richly salmon or tangerine hued instead of this bright rose tone. The pink versus salmon hues are not the result of different processing. The sunrise this morning was just so exceptional that it went through two distinct and long-lasting color phases, each with its own gloriousness.
