Present Marks on the Exposed Past
Intricate lines in red sandstone reveal millennia of ancient depositions subsequently eroded again, while black streaks down the canyon walls evidence recent seeps into these winding narrow channels, Antelope Slot Canyon, near Page, Arizona.
While the light in this scene didn't show quite the widely varying color palette that is often on display in these slot canyons, I liked these vibrant red hues a lot, and I was intrigued by these streaks down walls in this area where it almost appears as if you're walking though a keyhole. A wondrous place.
