Backyard blooms: flowers inside flowers

At times I have taken enough photos of the flowers on my patio to bore my ownself. But this year we had been invaded by an unusual battalion of bugs, who then divided and conquered, leaving many stripped flowers and stems behind. So I have appreciated the colors of the survivors, or the stalwart replacements, who have kept the colors coming.
