Mad Men 1985-1996

Mad Men 1985-1996. If DonDraper had a home office in the late 80s to mid 90s, this would be it.

He’d use QuarkXpress on an Apple Powerbook to review his ads. He’d use a Braun Dieter Rams calculator.

The desk setup would have to be swanky like the GeorgeNelson Swag, Tolomeo Lamp, and Eames Aluminum Group Task Chair. His camera would be a Leica and he’d wear Swiss timepieces like a Speedmaster Pro or GMTMaster. If he re-married another French Canadian or extensively travelled, might have picked up TinTin memorabilia. He'd still shoot with a vintage Leica rangefinder.

With the exception of the Mac Powerbook, these are all vintage, iconic designs. Some as old as 60 years old. Nelson desk 1958, Speedmaster Pro designed in 1957, Eames Aluminum Group designed in 1969. Most of which have been in continuous production.
