Dirás que soy un soñador

A statue of Lennon in Vedado neighborhood, Havana, Cuba.

During the first decades of the Revolution, all music in English (not only American, but british, etc) was sort of prohibited. There were no laws prohibiting it but it was not considered to be revolutionary and people could get in trouble just for listening to it. In the 60s, when the world was going crazy with the Beatles, Cubans were not allowed to play their music on the radio just for being in English.

Many years later, in the 90s, a statue was placed in this nice park in Havana. Today it is know as Lennon's park.
