Gray velvet sofa + Venetian mirror: New York living with mix of styles
In Emma Jane Pilkington's Manhattan apartment (which she designed), a 19th-century Venetian mirror from Lee Calicchio hangs above the mantel in the living room; the sofa and banquette were custom made by Anthony Lawrence-Belfair, NYC. A mix of styles—such as a 19th-century Anglo-Indian table paired with Jansen campaign chairs—tempers the formality of the living room. The Embryo by Mauro Corda is on the table. Bronze 19th-century sconces retain their original gilding.
