Menard Auto Buggy

The Menard Auto Buggy is an example of a vehicle that shows the transition from horse-drawn to self-propelled transportation. Although it has the engine and steering mechanism or an automobile, it has the wheels, suspension and body of a buggy. It features a 2-cylinde, air cooled, 10 horsepower engine, a continuously variable flywheel transmission, and a top speed of 32 km/h (20 mph)

The Menard carries the Selden Patent label, showing that a royalty had been paid on the patented idea of an automobile to American patent lawyer.
