New Delhi. The Parliament.

The secretariat or parliament buildings and Civil Service administration was designed by famed British architect Sir Edwin Lutyen. The British capital in India was moved from Calcutta to New Delhi in 1911 once Edward 7th ascended to the throne after Victoria's death. New Delhi was not declared the formal capital until 1931.
