Hindmarsh. The fine Art Deco Town Hall was built in 1880. It received this Art Deco makeover for the centenary of South Australia's white settlement in 1936. Located on Port Road.

Hindmarsh once the ugly industrial suburb of early Adelaide has many architectural gems from tiis fine state school, 5 or more historic churches and church halls, an early cemetery and early bridges across the Torrens River. The industry has gone but some fine old houses and commerical establishments remain including the early Post Office, several 19th century banks, and the wonderful early Police Station.
