Diffuser/LED
The LED is a nice SMD LED that I bought in Shanghai from Luckylight. They make nice LEDs, although surface mount was a pain to deal with using a 1$ 'firestarter' soldering iron and random cable.
A plastic container from one of those delicious tiny asian jelly snacks works as a water seal and diffuser. I used a glue gun to fill it halfway, then threw it in the freezer for a bit.
Pro tip: This is better than the traditional ping-pong ball diffuser because of the flat bottom. Use one in your next project! IF it fails you still have a nice snack, too.
