Pulsatrix perspicillata

The spectacled owl's spectacular vocalizations are low and distinctively vibrato; their eyes have the mesmerizing appearance that they are wearing spectacles. Not often seen, they hunt at night in the tropical rainforests of southern Mexico, central and south America.
