took a walk between a couple of villages way up near the indian border with china. this photo gives a pretty good view of what they look like. however i was not prepared for the bit in between at all!

 

went from picturesque fields to start, through small dunes like above and then across streams and to my surprise through swamps all the while hemmed in by mountains either side. as my left foot sunk deeper while trying to extract the other at one point i did have that scary moment when you suddenly realise things could about to get drastically worse. fortunately didn't panic and managed to slide my foot out of my sandal and angle it out but the rest of the walk suddenly tilted a bit to much to the wrong side of the adventurous / perilous balance in my travels.
