This is a generalisation of course but i found it hard getting photos in crowded scenes in west africa because a large percentage of the population really didn't like it. To the point of getting shouts and on one occasion having stuff thrown at me. Also if successful they're pretty keen on asking for money and paying for a photo is something i don't like doing. Was pretty considerate (and scared!) for the most part but if i saw a secluded vantage point like this then i wasn't going to pass it up!
I remember thinking about investing in a dslr before this trip but figured i wouldn't have enough time to learn before leaving. and after this trip i was pretty convinced i'de need a tele lens!
editing may not be the best in terms of detail but felt like playing with the light to add a bit of atmosphere.
