First day in service - Metroline OS2502 (YJ68FXC) on route H2 at Golders Green on 19/09/2018
Metroline took over the running of the Hampstead Garden Suburb routes from Arriva after 12 years in June 2018, but the vehicles ordered for the routes were delayed by about three months, forcing Metroline to operate the old Optare Solos on loan until their own SR examples arrived. A white Solo was also borrowed, without iBus equipment and was used in service but with an Oyster machine fitted, to cover one of the borrowed buses which had gone wrong mechanically. These vehicles are fitted with high backed seats and LED displays, which are staple fares outside of the capital but are unusal on TfL service buses.
Approaching the end of its loop run via Hampstead Garden Suburb is OS2502, a brand new Optare Solo SR on its first day in service.
