Athens Geodynamic Institute analyzed the earthquake's magnitude at 5.8
Reports came from as far as Albania, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Southern Italy.
Thanassis Ganas, Athens Geodynamic Institute: "We need 48 hours to say with 99 percent certainty that this was the main quake" In 1953 a 7.2 magnitude quake struck three days after a 6.4.
The quakes of 1953 were not created by the same fault as the 6.1mag of Jan 26th.
