Private Micolaj Bzowy age 19. Landed by parachute on 21st September 1944 and crossed the river and was killed in action on 23rd September. 3rd Parachute Battalion.

Captain Ignacy Gazurek age 37. Landed by parachute on 21st September and crossed the river overnight 23/24th and was killed by a sniper during a position charge in the back garden of a house. He was held in such high regard that an airborne unit in the current Polish army is named after him. 3rd Parachute Battalion.

 

Lieutenant Jan Wojciech Kutrzeba age 32. Landed by parachute on the 21st September 1944 and crossed the river overnight 23/24th.Killed by a shell during a bombardment. He was a commanding offcer of a mortar platoon, 7th Company 3rd Parachute Battalion.

 

Private Bronislav Banas age 22. Landed by parachute on the 21st September 1944 and crossed the river overnight 23/24th.He was one of the last Polish soldiers covering the withdrawal (Operation Berlin) and was due to be picked up to cross back south across the river when he was killed. 8th Company 3rd Parachute Battalion.
