Young Red Tail

One of our favorite places is Lower Klamath Basin. At the right time of year, hawks are everywhere. It’s almost as though they were planted on poles for the picture takers of the world. Red-tails are so widespread and common that more often than not, when you see a raptor that you can't identify, chances are good it's a Red-Tailed Hawk.
