Check Out My Bright, Blue Spring Bill

Shollenberger park could be called a birders paradise. The birds are back and in greater number now that our 5 year drought has come to an end. Ruddy Duck breeding males are almost cartoonish with a sky-blue bill, shining white cheek patch, and a gleaming chestnut body. This is the attire they wear to woo the fair maiden when Spring arrives.
