Call Me Red Eyes

We look forward to this time of year and the return of the Cinnamon Teals. This guy was on the move constantly so we had to follow him closely and quietly to get a decent image. This was taken while driving through The Merced Auto Tour. Male Cinnamon Teal have a cinnamon-red head, neck, breast and belly. They have a distinctive red eye, a black bill and yellow legs and feet. They certainly are a standout among lesser colored ducks.
