Titanic Exhibit
Apparently the audio for the whole exhibit was turned off. This is a reproduction of a section deck the water illuminated by lower decks. It is an effective display but without sinage or audio it was just that a effect set to be walked through.
In the first incarnation it was very clear that you the visitor was standing on the deck of the ship, the last lifeboat was gone and there was only the blackness of the sea. This had the effect of putting on the breaks emotionally, you the viewer were meant to contemplate your mortality. The moment was totally lost here.
There was some audio here, quietly "Neared My God to Thee" was playing. Good to invoke the Barbara Stanwyck film but not good history.
