North Wales Peer Mentoring Scheme
North Wales Peer Mentoring Scheme
For years the Bangor Paddling pool had been left empty and neglected. The people of Bangor Community group decided that this needed to change and with the support of likeminded individuals the group secured a NatWest Community grant which they used to fund the restoration of the paddling pool.
Volunteers from the North Wales Peer Mentoring Scheme worked with the People of Bangor Community group for two days. During those two days they helped to paint the pool, fences and benches, clean up the area, unblock the pool and plant some flower beds!
Thanks to volunteers and the people of Bangor Community group the pool is now open for children and families to enjoy.
We believe that this photo illustrates that any group of people, regardless of their background or personal circumstances has the power to change their country for the better.
