Rant Score

One of a series of plaques telling the story of the Scores, the narrow alley ways that run from the cliff top down to the beach ( give or take a few industrial units in modern times) in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Once home to a thriving but over-crowded fishing community, the Scores now form part of a heritage trail and the descriptive plaques have been erected as a memorial to Jack Rose, historian. Funding came from Waveney District Council, English Heritage and the European Community.
