WAR MEMORIAL, RIMC
This war memorial is dedicated to the fallen comrades of the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradoon , India. The school , set up in 1922 by the Prince of Wales , is the feeder institution to the National Defense Academy of India. The alumni of this school have been awarded the first Victoria Cross (Lt Gen PS Bhagat) and the first Param Veer Chakra (Maj Somnath Sharma) of India.
The shape , of a cut bamboo , signifies the cutting short of a promising life in prime in the service of our nation.
