1979 Volkswagen Type 2 (T2) Camper Van – VKS 222V
This particular Type 2 (T2) Camper Van was in lovely condition when it was spotted as an exhibit at the 2014 Belper Steam Rally, which is held in Denby, on the 22nd of June 2014. This particular Volkswagen was made back in 1979 and it was first registered in the UK, in the same year, on the 15th of August 1979 so presumably has lived in the UK all its life. This one does have its original engine according to the DVLA, a 1.6 Litre (1584cc) Flat-Four Over-Head-Valve engine which runs on petrol. This particular camper was part of a Volkswagen club that were attending the steam rally so was parked with other type two camper vans.
