Beckoning

Horizons seem to have a beckoning effect on me - especially when there is something leading into it. That was especially true on our trip west a couple of years ago with long stretches of straight road and railway tracks through the prairie landscapes along the trans Canada highway. The short telegraph poles that stood alongside the tracks stood like crosses marking a bygone era. That said, we were stuck with grey featureless skies on our way out there. I still grabbed a few shots to document the area and in looking them over now, I tried this one with a PS sky replacement.
