Falling Out Of Favor
With GPS available in a phone or even a wrist watch, lighthouses are becoming redundant - as this one apparently is. I think (don't quote me) it's the outer light of the Malpeque range lights on Prince Edward Island. It's a shame to see them falling out of favor. I can tell you from experience that range lights are a great comfort coming into harbor on a pitch dark night. Far better, in fact, than "potato navigation," where no splash after tossing a spud off the bow means you're too close to land.
