Need Oxygen
Looking back to 2012, we were hiking in Newfoundland's spectacular landscape. There's a sign at the bottom of this trail that warns hikers that if you can't see the top, turn back. It goes on to caution that it's easy to become disoriented when the weather turns and risk falling of a cliff. Fortunately, we had an amazing day but we did hear of someone having to be helicopered off after blowing out a knee.
It takes a bit of effort to climb up the rocky scree (visible behind the hikers) pretending to be a trail and I have to admit my legs were a bit rubbery when we reached the summit. The fellow accompanying his girlfriend coming up behind us had a timely, "NEED OXYGEN" logo on his shirt. We didn't need oxygen but some frosty Quidi Vidi Iceberg beer in fluorescent blue bottles sure did go down well after the descent.
