Robear in Ojai
Backside
It's a funny thing.
All the while as I was making this outfit I was "making it for Juan".
I mean, it had my measurements & all, but this was clearly for someone else.
Some character or persona I have yet to inhabit & grow into.
And as I've said before, this is an outfit I could never have dreamed of or justified making for myself, no matter how much I wanted to. Like most working artists, I can't afford my own art!
It dawned on me yesterday that I had to claim it as my own...
This morning, after breakfast, I asked Denny to help me into the garment, tucking the shirt in, adjusting and tying all the ribbon ties, laces & grommets. It took about an hour to fit everything perfectly on me. Hopefully, it will be much faster to put it on the next time(s), as the ties are now adjusted, double-knotted and secured.
What do you think? Methinks I look pretty smashing in this! :-)
With the hat and a beard dyed red and trimmed, the illusion will be complete.
