Magic Tree
Hiking on the beach is sometimes not as easy as it sounds, especially on the Olympic Peninsula. It's not all soft sand and wide beaches. Sometimes its jagged rocks and impassable points.
In order to not get stuck due to the tides, we got a very early start on the second day. This incredible hike featured tons of fog shrouded seastacks and other incredible sights.
During one short break, I noticed these backlit trees with god rays extending out from the sides. Carefully positioning my camera, I managed to find the sun through the branches of the tree to make this image!
