West Midlands PTE 6457, Birmingham, 1980
Looking out of the city centre along a very busy Broad Street in Birmingham during 1980. The scene today is very different and many of the buildings pictured have long gone, as have the cars and no doubt some of the people. Behind the bus to the right can be seen the clocktower of the Crown Hotel, which still stands.
Heading into City, 6457 was at the time a Harborne based bus and had worked its way in from Northfield via the Weoley Castle estate.
