Delta Demonstration in Dudley
I've posted this picture for 'Deltabus', who has recently acquired ex PMT Optare Delta 801, and is a fan of these buses. www.flickr.com/photos/22455491@N02/4198124084/
The image shows G837LWR, a demonstration vehicle for Optare (Leeds) Ltd, on Castle Road West, Warley, when on loan to West Midlands Travel’s Dudley Garage for evaluation purposes in July 1990. The bus was also loaned to WMT competitor, Midland Red West around the same time. I personally, never warmed to the design, but nearly 20 years later, it does look quite dated.
