Bingley's of Kinsley, West Yorkshire

United Services was the common name used by a consortium of three companies, providing bus services between Doncaster and Wakefield. The buses were all painted into generic blue and cream livery and used the United Services fleetname. Bingley of Kinsley, a family run concern was one of those three operators. This is a picture of two of their vehicles.

 

LTO10, the Duple bodied Daimler CVD6 dated from 1950 and was new to Skills of Nottingham; Bingley's acquired the bus in the 1960s.

 

Taken at Bingley’s Upton depot, 147WW was Duple 'Britannia' bodied AEC Relaince that had come new to the company in 1960. It was later sold onto Marfleet Coaches of Binbrook, Lincolnshire, in who colours it is seen in this picture. The pristine coach was on an enthusiasts tour in 1972.
