It's er, well, it is ..you know, one of those thingy lights!

Difficult to describe, but two of these (finned?) lampposts stand opposite to one another at the junction of Orchardson Avenue and Dysart Road in Leicester, where they form an arch over the mouth Orshardson Avenue. The segments in between the fins light up in different colours, you can just make out a pink glow from the bottom segment in this picture.
