Blackpool Corporation Transport, Marshall bodied AEC Swift 549 (PFR549H) makes its way along a congested promenade on 6th October 1981, as it heads out of Town towards Squires Gate and Blackpool Airport.
549 was one of fifteen (dual-doored) Marshall bodied AEC Swifts (541 - 555) delivered new to Blackpool between 1969 and 1970, however, all had been withdrawn from service by October 1982. Fortunately, 554 (PFR554H) was rescued for preservation and is now in the care of the Lancashire Transport Trust.
