April Cat Mitzvah

Cats fortunate enough to arrive in this shelter live out their lives, unless they are adopted, in very pleasant surroundings... No cat is put to sleep, in the words of the classical euphemism...

 

After the untimely death of Miss Schroedinger and the strong feelings of grief it engendered, adopting a cat seemed like a good option. This set show some impressions of our visit there...

A Mitzah is a Commandment in Hebrew. There are six hundred and thirteen, 613, Mitzvot (plural form) commandments of all kinds in the Torah, i.e. the Bible as given to Moses is a gift for the Jews, the children of Israel. Jesus was one of them. He was with Moses at the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai, as were all of us. TheTorah is a detailed blueprint for living. Being kind to animals is such a commandment. The Torah is filled with commandments about kindness to animals...
