Here I am - "chic" - fully immersed in the purifying water...

I realized that this creation could be symbolic of the purifying qualities of physical immersion in a Mikva.

Reminds me of the old western cowboy song "Cool Clear Water." I'm not sure if that was the title. I loved that song when I was a boy... Never thought I would live in the desert...;)

 

Tonight at Sundown begins Yom Kippur. The Day of Atonement... It is a solemn day, at the end of which HaShem reviews and seals each person's decree for this new year that began 10 days ago. Who lives or dies, and the manner of each decree,. Hopefully it will be a joyous, meaningful, and fulfilling year for each of us...

 

It is a joyous occasion, because we have the opportunity to avert any harsh judgement through, prayer, sincere repentance, and pledges of charity and good works,
