Thank you President-Elect Trump for defending the Jewish people.
The president-elect is signaling immediate action against the international court over arrest warrants for Israeli leaders.
However, the ICC has not sanctioned anyone in Hamas after their horrendous slaughter of civilians - men, women, and children, the kidnappings, the rapes, and the sexual mutilations. Yet they sanction the Israeli leaders who are seeking to defend Israel's people against these monsters.
Thank you, President-Elect Trump, for defending the Jewish people.
President-elect Donald Trump plans to impose crippling sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague immediately upon taking office, sources close to the matter tell Israel Hayom. The orders could be issued as early as January 21, just one day after his inauguration.
The sanctions package would target both individual ICC staff, including judges and prosecutors, and the institution as a whole.
The administration intends to classify the ICC as an organization that threatens U.S. interests, using designation procedures similar to those the U.S. State Department uses for terrorist organizations around the world.
The designation would impose severe restrictions on anyone involved with the court.
Financial institutions around the world would be required to cut ties with ICC staff or face U.S. sanctions.
Echoing the actions taken by the outgoing administration against sanctioned Israeli citizens, ICC employees will be unable to conduct routine banking transactions or use credit cards.
Their economic activity will be effectively frozen. In addition, all U.S. assets owned by ICC employees and the institution itself will be frozen.
The new administration’s strategy goes beyond unilateral action: it plans to obtain commitments from U.S. allies not to cooperate with arrest warrants against Israeli officials.
