We don't prune this old grapefruit tree because a group of mockingbirds congregate in the old dead branches at the top of the tree. They call out and sing a lot and they eat the berries on our Pyracantha bushes...

2021 Addendum: Sadly, I had to remove the tree a couple of years ago.
