A Hit From The Hit Israeli TV Show"Fauda"

Jews ✡️ and Muslims ☪️ in and around Israel have been glued to their TV screens each week for the last two years to watch this Israeli produced low budget show. Last year it was picked up by Netflix so I can watch it too.

It is fascinating. I have been through it twice. Now I am waiting for the third year to begin airing.

The writing is superb. The actors are really excellent. The direction is outstanding. The many characters are quite fascinating and well developed. And, the episodes are mesmerizing.

Fauda, which means chaos in Arabic, is an Israeli television series developed by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff drawing on their experiences in the Israel Defense Forces. The series premiered on February 15, 2015. It tells the story of Doron, a commander in the Mista'arvim unit and his team as they pursue a Hamas arch-terrorist known as "The Panther."

Mista'arvim, also spelled mista'aravim, is the name given to counter-terrorism units of the Israel Defense Forces, Israel Border Police, and Israel Police who operate undercover. Such units are specifically trained to assimilate among the local Arab population. They are commonly tasked with performing intelligence gathering, law enforcement, hostage rescue and counter-terrorism, and to use disguise and surprise as their main weapons. 🔫 ⛓ 🔑 📂 ✈️ 🚁
