This is the third year this cactus has flowered in the spring. The flowers are the largest cactus flowers I have ever seen. Last year they were 11 inches, which equals 29.74 centimeters, in diameter. To see them fully opened to their maximum size, you have to look early in the morning before the sun warms them and they begin to close.
