Becomes a Pond at My House

The rain is great for my desert garden that you can see along the Magnolia curb. I try to plant everything people give me. i do buy a few interesting specimens all over the Sonoran Desert region. The tall thornless edible Nopales cactus, to the right, seeded themselves. Not only are the fruit edible, but fresh new leaves are good fried in olive oil. They taste like asparagus. These tall plants grew after we moved in. Places they grow are good archeological sites because the indigenous people cultivated them.
