Old Weatherbeaten Monarch Butterfly On Fingertips
An old and weatherbeaten Monarch butterfly, handheld on fingertips. It rained last night, and the butterfly was drinking at the edge of a puddle in the morning. It stayed there for about 15 minutes. It looked like it could use some help. Shortly after this shot, it flew a short distance to a nearby fence. I should have fed it sugar water. But I just realized that now...:-(

I was going to add Decrepit to the title so the challenge entry would be OD, I decided that I didn't like using the word decrepit to describe this beautiful if faded creature.
