Getting Ready For Winter in Jib Jab Style
We've had a few nights at freezing in Tucson, Arizona. That's 32 F = 0 C. I have started wearing a fleece lined denim jacket when I go out. I'm still wearing a baseball cap from the Jersey Shore on the east coast of America. Soon I will be getting out my navy watch cap, like in this Jib Jab creation, to keep my ears from freezing.
According to the weather folks, we are likely to get snow and hail this year, here in the valley. Of course, there will be lots of snow on the surrounding mountains. We saw snow on some of the peaks during our walks in Sabino canyon on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week.
Tucson sits in the crater of an extinct volcano. The bottom of the crater is just about a mile below us. We are on top of the eroded rocks and pebbles from the surrounding volcano walls. Those walls are our mountains that surround Tucson. The valley is quite large. So the mountains we see, forming the original volcano's walls, were much higher, when the volcano was active. They were enormous!
