Good Old Glory - Our Flag, Wired for Patriot Day
Patriot Day commemorates the tragic events of 9/11.
I hope and pray we will successfully continue the American experiment!
The alternative is too depressing...
Patriot Day (a terrible name) is not to be confused with Patriots Day in the spring, that commemorates the ride of Paul Revere to the towns of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts. (I lived in the neighboring town of Sudbury when I was a graduate student at MIT in Cambridge.) Paul Revere rode his horse to warn the townspeople that the British army was on the way to seize the weapons and ammunition in their armory...The shots fired there were "heard around the world." That was the start of the American Revolution.
