Miss Cecily's Miss Ruth
Miss Ruth Is a Tortie Cat. Miss Cecily adopted her three years ago from The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter in Tucson, Arizona. It's a no-kill home for cats.
are a number of well known "Miss Ruths" in the world of Dance... Having that illustrious name meant this feline Miss Ruth was a natural for consideration for Miss Cecily to adopt...
For example, here is Ruth St. Dennis, aka Miss Ruth;
www.jacobspillow.org/exhibits-archives/artist-profiles/ru...
Cats fortunate enough to arrive in this shelter live out their lives, unless they are adopted, in very pleasant surroundings... No cat is put to sleep, in the words of the classical euphemism...
After the untimely death of Miss Schroedinger and the strong feelings of grief it engendered, adopting a cat seemed like a good option. This set shows some impressions of our visit to The Hermitage For Cats... I found the Hermitage inspiring, happy, sweet, moving, cathartic... The people are caring, really good people. I enjoyed watching them as well as the cats...
Miss Ruth is a tortie, meaning a cat supposedly with tortoise shell markings. I'm not sure what differentiates tortie from calico...;))
She has a pink nose and a black mustachio...;))
She is at least ten years old.
