Mosaic of Svetlana Zakharova & Edvin Revazov In "The Lady Of The Camelias" <<>> Performed By The Bolshoi Ballet of Moscow <<>> Viewed In Park Place Mall, Tucson, AZ

Yesterday Miss Cecily and I saw Svetlana Zakharova in "The Lady of The Camellias" at the Park Place Mall in Tucson, Arizona.

She danced with Edvin Revazov.

Svetlana Zakharova (her friends apparently call her Sveta) is an incredibly beautiful dancer.

I fell in love with ballet when I was a young child, before WW II. Every week, in newsreels at the movie theaters in Manhattan on Weekends, and in Newark during the week, we would see short videos, in full color, of Sol Hurak's beloved Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. I thought everyone loved ballet...

After the war, one of Miss Cecily's ballet teachers, Rochelle (Chellie) Zide, was a "Baby Ballerina" in The Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo...

Interconnecting Thread:

In 1964, I think it was, I ran the night shift in M.I.T.'s Nuclear Physics Computer Lab, in Cambridge, Mass, while I was working on my Ph.D. thesis. In the very early mornings, after my night shift was finished, I often had breakfast at the Deli on Boyleston Street in Boston. I now know that Delicatessen was owned by Chellie Zide's family.
