Starbucks' Red Doodling Cups Holiday Collage
I was delighted by these red cups. Doodling is such fun... (^_^) I thought I would like to have a cup for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah.
Whoops, I think I offended some people because I inadvertantly placed the Christmas decorations on the smallest cup. I started with the Hanukkah decorations because I had used them before, and I wanted to "float" the cups with the balloon I knew was there. I didn't want them on the central cup because I wanted to reserve that for Thanksgiving which is almost upon us. I worked first with the right hand cup because I'm a righty. I now realize that gave the wrong impression. I should have placed the Christmas decorations on the cup to the right, since it is clearly the Major Holiday in the USA, while Hanukkah is much smaller. I was not trying to minimize Christmas!!!!! In all of my childhood years we had Christmas Dinner at the home of the Burns family in New York City, in Manhattan's Lower East Side. They were wonderful people... My Mother's very very dear friends, and mine too...
At the very end, I remembered we just had Veterans Day and Halloween. Maybe I'll create another collage for the Arizona Ballet Theatre Halloween Eve 2015 Party. Also for Veterans Day. Oh well, I'm out of time...
I started playing with Ribbet's Stickers for the holidays. I have used them before, so I knew I liked the fanciful effects you can create.
I loved using the hot air balloons to float the cups... :))
I hope you like this collage or mosaic. In addition, Ribbet has lots of very advanced tools for special effects in their "Sandbox." I didn't use them in any photos in this collage.
Oh, in case you don't understand the Star of David on the Christmas cup, It's because Jesus was a Jewish descendent of the House of King David and it is quite appropriate. He impressed on his followers the importance of observing Judaism to the fullest. His teachings are taken from Hillel the Elder who was likely his teacher. Unfortunately, I'm slowly losing my memory and cannot locate my detailed comparisons.
