Pigeon Looking Around <<>> IMG_2781 - Version 2
A few years ago, we were overrun by pigeons. I heard it was due to a drastic reduction in the hawk population in central Tucson. However, the hawks returned to the valley a couple of years ago, and the pigeon population was drastically reduced. I saw none at all in my neighborhood, because a Harris Hawk nests in the tall eucalyptus tree nearby.
Hopefully our local hawk is alive and well and the pigeon population will not grow again.
I just noticed what looks like a red flower on the palo verde tree...
