On Chrysocolla Thrones

Miss Cecily and Miss Ruth On Chrysocolla Thrones In The Garden at Dawn...

chrysocolla |ˌkrisəˈkälə| noun

a greenish-blue mineral consisting of hydrated copper silicate, typically occurring as opaline crusts and masses.

ORIGIN late 16th cent. (in the Greek sense): from Latin, from Greek khrusokolla, denoting a mineral used in ancient times for soldering gold.

Samples from Asarco mines in Sahuarita, near Tucson are an almost perfect match to our copper rocks.
