I just spotted an additional shadow under the display. It looks like a cat...
This small display on a pedestal explains a mosaic on an outdoor wall of the visitor center. It's in a small courtyard adjacent to the visitor center in The Kitt Peak National Observatory on top of Kitt Peak. We got there around 4:30PM. The shadows were dramatic.
Kitt Peak is WSW of Tucson, Arizona.
